During the rotomoulding process, plastic pellets are heated and shaped into a desired form by rotating them in a mould. This results in a seamless, one-piece product with a uniform thickness, that is highly resistant to impact and stress. To produce pesticide spray tanks, polyethylene is used. The available sizes vary form a few hundred litres up to 8000 litres or even more.

In the past, pesticide spray tanks used to often be made of polyester. The wall thickness is then created manually, which is not always consistent. Moreover, it is an expensive and time-consuming process. People working with the polyester also need to use protective equipment because of the chemical reaction that takes place, and polyester is quite difficult to recycle. These are all problems that will not occur with rotomoulded pesticide tanks.

• The tanks are made in one piece and have rounded corners and smooth internal walls. A bottom spout can be integrated so that the tank can be fully emptied. This makes them easy to clean.
