Rotovia's green milestones - Sustainability Report 2024
We are proud to present our second Sustainability Report for 2024. This publication underscores our ongoing commitment to environmental protection, social responsibility, and sustainable rotational moulding. At Rotovia, we see sustainability not just as an obligation, but primarily as an opportunity for innovation, growth, and building a competitive advantage. Our efforts are driven by our core corporate values: ‘Share’ – sharing knowledge, ‘Care‘ – caring for people and the planet, and a proactive ‘Can-do’ attitude. This report details our achievements, strategies, and ambitious goals for the future, helping us create a world that is friendly to the environment and society.
Energy efficiency and carbon footprint reduction
2024 was a year of significant successes for Rotovia in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. We successfully lowered our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 8.3% compared to the base year, substantially exceeding our initial targets. We are actively investing in renewable energy – by 2028, we plan for 25% of our rotomoulding ovens to be powered by green energy sources such as electricity and hydrogen. Initiatives like photovoltaic installations at our plants in Miedzyrzecz and Deventer are already helping us steadily decrease our operational carbon footprint.

Advancing circular economy and recycling
In the area of recycling, we’ve surpassed our targets for 2024 by achieving a 5% share of recycled materials in our products, significantly bringing us closer to our ambitious goal of 20% recycled content by 2028. Additionally, we’re intensively expanding our product take-back service, aiming for 30% of our products sold to be returned for recycling by 2028. This strategy positions Rotovia as an active supporter of the circular economy, reducing natural resource consumption and minimizing waste.
Innovative environmentally friendly products
At Rotovia, we continuously pursue innovations that benefit both the environment and our customers. This year, we introduced the ECO 460L tub made entirely from recycled plastic, specifically designed for the seafood industry. Another key innovation was the Softcar, developed in collaboration with Softcar, a lightweight, fully electric urban vehicle introduced at the 2024 Motor Show. Its lightweight yet durable construction incorporates elements made using rotational moulding technology, providing exceptional energy efficiency and ecological benefits.

Social responsibility and team engagement
At Rotovia, we strongly believe our employees are key to our success. In 2024, we intensively promoted activities focused on employee health and safety resulting in a remarkably high job satisfaction rate of 82%. We are also proud of our numerous social and educational initiatives supporting the development and education of younger generations within local communities. These activities form the foundation of our social responsibility, enabling us to build lasting relationships and positively impact quality of life.
