Rotomoulded office bins
Products manufactured using the rotomoulding technology are very lightweight yet incredibly strong. They have no welds or joints, making them easy to clean and maintain. The process for rotomoulded office bins consists of six steps:
- The material is prepared by putting plastic granules of about 3mm in diameter in a micro-pelletizer or a pulverizer. If needed, pigments are added to colour the material.
- A measured amount (the exact weight of the office bins) is inserted in the mould. This can be done by hand or with an automated mould filling system.
- The loaded mould is heated in an oven and then attached to an arm that rotates in two directions. The material is heated to the melting point, causing it to adhere evenly to the walls.
- The material is cooled to the right temperature and solidifies into the shape of the office bin.
- The finished product is removed from the mould. If the mould consists of multiple parts, each part is removed so that the rotomoulded office bin can be removed from the base.
- It is time to assemble, test, inspect to final product. Your office bins have been brought to life!
