Rotomoulded HDPE storage tank
Many of the storage tanks we produce are made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE). The rotomoulding process for a rotomoulded HDPE storage tank involves 6 steps. First, the material needs to be prepared. To do so, HDPE granules are reduced in size using a micro-pelletizer or a pulverizer. This material is inserted in the mould we designed for your HDPE storage tank. The next step is to heat up the mould and rotate it around 2 axes. This causes the HDPE to melt and evenly adhere to the walls of the mould. The mould is then cooled down below melting temperature, so the material solidifies, and the tank can be removed from the mould. In the last step of the process the final tank is assembled, tested, inspected and packed.
