Rotomoulded high density polyethylene tanks
The rotomoulding process consists of 6 steps. The first step is to prepare the material, in this case high density polyethylene. With a micro-pelletizer or pulverizer plastic granules are reduced in size. Then the material is put into the mould that is designed for your high density polyethylene tank. If any parts need to be moulded into the tank, they are placed in the mould as well. We heat up the mould, which causes the material to melt. At the same time, the mould is rotated around two axes, so the material adheres to the walls evenly. Once this is done, the mould needs to cool down for the material to solidify. Then it’s time to demould the tank and assemble, test, inspect and pack it. Your high density polyethylene tank is ready to use!
